When I spent my first night in the dorms at my boarding school in Canyonville, Oregon, some girls were making a lot of noise and I couldn't sleep. So, I said "sh...t." In Korean "sh" has a "t" sound at the end. The girls laughed and made fun of me. One girl asked me to say it one more time!
My friend told me what the word means in English. After that happened I was very careful whenever I said "sh...t."
